RE: Mayor Roth Selection for County Planning Director
This email is in opposition to Mr. Zendo Kern as the Hawaii County Planning Director.
My reasons are below:
a) He does not have any qualifications for the position.
b) His "planning" experience appears to be involved in pro-development campaigns.
c) He has and his organizations have heavily contributed financially towards the current Mayor's political campaign.
Mr. Kern may be an honest man. I don't know M. Kern professionally or personally except for what material has been available
in the local newspapers
and the internet.
With all the animosity and anger between political parties and other groups of people across the nation. Why are you even
considering a nominee of real or perceived conflicts of interest or possible comprised relationships, or possibly dubious
qualifications?Why would you even consider bringing these possible contentious points before the citizens?
