Dear Hawaii County Officials,
I am writing to seek your not approving the Rodenhurst appointment. He is as I have detailed in previous
email inappropriately controversial, possibly illegal and includes significant questions of conflict of interest.
Most importantly, we, especially in Puna REJECTED him as our district representative for a reason
besides never having heard of him until he suddenly appeared and ran for office. He is completely
supported by special interest and to address the LAME excuse I have heard from at least one council
member that the duties are set so his influence and judgement because of those FINANCIAL BACKED
CONSTRUCTION issue won't be a factor is a straight up RATIONALIZATION (read LIE) , if you prefer the
nice word for it!
Please DO NOT appoint this OAHU sponsored new transplant who says he's my neighbor, but in truth he
is new here and was it appears actually sent to our island to do his backer's bidding. He didn't win as a
council person so now his backers are attempting to shove him down our throats via this appointment.
Please REPRESENT the WILL OF THE PEOPLE and not his investors and builders with their sneaky
ways of attempting to destroy the aina with illegal construction projects that get away with stretching rules
when their sponsored appointments are allowed into the government process.
All eyes are upon you to do the right thing not the best thing for your next campaign donor list.
