COUNTY OF HAWAI `I <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />38 21 <br />RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW PLANNER V <br />POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />MANAGEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Environmental Management is in <br />need of a Planner V position to assist in identifying areas of growth and <br />development and laying out master plans for sewer collections systems, <br />wastewater treatment plants and solid waste facilities island wide; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii was awarded federal funding from <br />the United States Department of Commerce Economic Development <br />Administration to provide partial funding for this position; and <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter <br />states that the Mayor has �.he power to "Create positions... for which <br />appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII that one (1) Planner V, SR -24, position be created in the Hawaii <br />County Department of Environmental Management. <br />
