Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an
additional $76,479 into the Office of Housing and Community Development's Workforce
Innovation and Opportunity Act(WIOA) Rapid Response 20-21 account. This increase
in appropriation reflects the additional funding allocation received from the Department
of Labor and Industrial Relations for the Program Year(PY) 2020 WIOA Program.
The Office of Housing and Community Development indicates that these funds will be
utilized to assist in rapid response and layoff aversion activities in Hawaii County.
