COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 41 21 <br />STATE OF HAWAI `I <br />!RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br />LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br />:'FOR A MULTV—YEAR MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR <br />AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC DEFIBRILLATORS FOR THE HAWAII <br />CIfto <br />o"OUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />ease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br />ater fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year <br />maintenance agreement for five (5) years, for thirty-three (33) automatic electronic <br />defibrillators (AEDs) and twelve (12) onsite AEDs for the Hawaii County Police <br />I:Department; and <br />WHEREAS, annual maintenance will include periodic inspections, inventory <br />I -racking, replacement of batteries/pads, periodic testing and documentation of <br />i:iata, debriefing and data download after AED use and refresher/re-certification <br />training, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year <br />maintenance agreement for thirty-three (33) AEDs for the Hawaii <br />County Police Depa:rtment. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the <br />agreement. <br />
