Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Wesley I. Mattos of Council District 7 to the Fire Commission.
Mr. Mattos, born and raised in the Kohala District, dedicated twenty-five years of brave service
to the Hawai'i County Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician and Fire
Equipment Operator,,and retired in 2017.
Mr. Mattos has continued to be an energetic community volunteer through his church, with the
mission of"Standing Strong Together". If confirmed, he will serve a five-year term to end
December 31, 2025.
