No. 50/Bill No. 10 <br /> DATE: February 2, 2021 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 3:03 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 10, reports as follows: <br /> Bill 10, introduced by Committee Chair Ashley L. Kierkiewicz by request, amends Ordinance <br /> No. 09-131 which reclassified lands from Project District (PD)to Industrial-Commercial Mixed- 20,000 <br /> square feet(MCX-20) at Ka`u,North Kona, Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map Key: 7-2-005:001,the <br /> applicant is Palamanui Global Holdings, LLC, Area: 29.920 acres. <br /> The Leeward Planning Commission forwards its favorable recommendation for this amendment, which <br /> would allow a five-year extension to comply with Condition E (Secure Final Subdivision Approval). <br /> The property is located northeast of the Kona International Airport at Keahole, between Queen <br /> Ka`ahumanu Highway and Makalei Estates Subdivision. <br /> Bill No. 10 was read before your Committee and no Committee Members had a point of discussion. <br /> The vote was then taken on the motion to move this measure to Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation and passed with 9 "ayes." <br /> Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 10, and recommends its <br /> passage on first reading. <br /> js <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COM _ TTEE ON PLANNING <br /> INABA X <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X <br /> KIMBALL X <br /> LEE LOY x ASHLEY L.
