HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 049 Draft 01 2020-2022*4 Of COUNTY OF HAWAII t STATE OF HAWAII ..4 A RESOLUTION NO. 49 21 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES' EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SLATE OF OFFICERS. WHEREAS, the Hawaii State Association of Counties ("HSAC") Bylaws requires each County Council to appoint one of its members to serve as an officer of the HSAC Executive Committee, and to designate an alternate member; and WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws requires that, in making the appointment, each Council shall delegate to its appointees sufficient authority to formulate a proposed slate of officers and alternates; and WHEREAS, at its January 29, 2021 meeting, the HSAC Executive Committee approved its slate of officers and alternates; and WHEREAS, the HSAC Bylaws require each council to act on the slate of officers and alternates proposed by the HSAC Executive Committee; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the HSAC Executive Committee officers are approved as follows to serve the remainder of the current term: President: Mason K. Chock, Kaua'i County Council Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. (Alternate) Vice -President: Kelly Takaya King, Maui County Council Tamara Paltin (Alternate) Secretary: Heather Kimball, Hawaii County Council Rebecca Villegas (Alternate) Treasurer: Tommy Waters, Honolulu City Council Andria Tupola (Alternate). BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the HSAC Executive Committee.
