HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 050 Draft 01 2020-2022A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH THE PURCHASE OF A REFRIGERATOR
FOR THE KAWANANAKOA GYM.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, plans, conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and athletic activities for all age groups at recreation
centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Kawananakoa Gym is well utilized in the Keaukaha community and its kitchen facility supports vital programs; and
WHEREAS, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in financial hardship and public health and safety requirements that promote social distancing, which has increased the need for public community
facilities to provide services to affected citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase a new refrigerator for the kitchen facility in the Kawananakoa Gym to replace the one that has failed;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase
a new refrigerator for the kitchen facility in the Kawananakoa Gym.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
