HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 051 Draft 01 2020-2022 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO COVER EXPENSES FOR THE COUNTY REDISTRICTING COMMISISON. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15-3 of the County Charter, the 2018-2020 Charter Commission completed its duties, its membership dissolved and is not due to reconvene a new membership until 2029; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-17 of the County Charter, the County Redistricting Commission is due to begin and complete its activities in 2021 and funds are needed to provide resources for the Commission; and WHEREAS, the Charter Commission account contains excess funds due to lower than anticipated expenses; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General       AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION:  $10,000       OUT AND FROM:    010.911.5912.71 Charter Commission 341 Misc. Charges $10,000      CREDITED TO:    010.911.5912.90.341 Redistricting Commission 341 Misc. Charges $10,000       BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the County Clerk and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
