1 am writing to you to express my support for Bill 18. The loss of philanthropic support will be devastating to many of

the non-profits that provide essential services to the permanent residents of Hawaii". We rely on the charitable support
to fund hospice, the arts, healthcare, education, animal welfare, the environment, and many more. Allowing tax

payers to allocate their giving to these organizations will ultimately preserve these services for us all to enjoy.
Thank you for the creative problem solving to address the social needs that are not funded through government
spending.
