Subject: Comment on 'Bill 18'
Council persons, please:
I would like the Council to'not approve'the persons under'Bill 18'to donate to charity instead of paying their tax bill.
Paying taxes and contributing to charity are not mutually exclusive.
Besides the obvious inequity of allowing millionaires to choose whether to pay taxes or to donate to the charity of their choice and to
not allow all citizens to do so should say enough about how absurd this Bill 18 is.
I could go on and on but please think carefully about passing a bill such as this.
