Aloha Hawai'i County Council,
I am writing in support of Resolution 35-21, urging the County of Hawai'i to establish a Jobs Corps program for Hawai'i Island.This
program is one of many solutions that are needed to provide economic opportunity to our island which continues to be severely
impacted by a dramatic and sustained decrease in tourism. It creates an avenue to diversify the local economy,to provide jobs to
those who are unemployed, and to shift focus to improving local infrastructure and perpetuating 'aina-aloha driven values. Programs
like this one are needed to build back Hawai'i's economy stronger than it was before.Thank you for your consideration.
