Subject: Letter of support for Jobs Corp resolution
Dear Council, I am writing to express strong support, on behalf of the Think BIG nonprofit coalition, for the Jobs
Corp resolution to be heard tomorrow. We applaud the Council's leadership on this extremely important issue and
look forward to the resolution's passage. Hawaii County's economy is suffering greatly due to the pandemic and new
green jobs are urgently needed to help mitigate this suffering. We urge the Council to quickly approve this resolution.
and secure funding to quickly hire as many new green jobs positions as possible.
Think BIG supports efforts to improve the island's resilience, equity and sustainability and this Jobs Corps resolution
is a great step in that direction.
