Subject: Support of Reso. 35-21
Aloha nui,
My name is Krisha Zane and I am currently the Administrator of a new higher education and career training program
called EA Ecoversity which has just launched in October 2020 inlight of the Covid Pandemic.
I strongly support the efforts of Reso. 35-21. EA Ecoversity was fortunate to be part of the pilot program of
internships through Aloha Connects Innovations and Kupu, funded through federal COVID relief funds. Without the
support from our community members of which were from various backgrounds, skill sets, and diversities, hired
through the career development program, EA Ecovesity would have not been able to have begun with such a
successful start which is catapulting us to incorporate many other organizations within the community.
Our community needs to pivot. By supporting an economic diversification opportunity, we will together be able to
reshape and reimagine how we view our future, and support the youth and young adults as we create meaningful job
opportunities, or trainings to help inspire our next generation to make mindful decisions in deciding on careers that
make action and take charge to better the economy rather than just repetition.
