Many of you may know me as Chef Muzzy.Thank you for this opportunity to write in support of the efforts of Palamanui to get
started out there. If any of you have been to the area, you know it's off by itself,just waiting for this project to help bring life
support. Roger Harris and I have remained friends for a long time and I trust Palamanui to do just what they say they are going
to do.Just look at the campus they helped to build.
I graduated from the culinary program of UH West Hawaii Community college in 1996. Since then, I have developed my
culinary career;
employed at Hualalai Fours Seasons hotel for 10 years
executive chef of Jackie Reys restaurant 10 years,
Kohanaiki culinary team for 7 years
And more recently,the executive chef at Hokulia until the pandemic closed the restaurant service. Currently I am running my
"Food to Go" operation and looking forward to better times.
To have this culinary program active at HCC Palamanui is really a huge benefit to our community and the graduates fill a feeder
line into the resorts along the Kona Kohala coast. We waited a very long time for a proper campus.
Let's support this project and move forward, it's long overdue. b-�::
