These <br /> funds will be used for the purpose of enhancing the firearms process by automating and <br /> streamlining the firearms registration process and improving record keeping and data <br /> availability. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed <br /> is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $545,760 <br /> grant. The Hawai`i Police Department is requesting that this resolution andbill be <br /> waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the March 3, 2021 Council agenda to <br /> expedite the receipt of these funds.
