OLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A
LATER FISCAL YEAR A14D OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR

'rELEVISION TRUCK FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF

[T.NVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease
agreement for five (5) years, for one (1) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) truck;
and
WHEREAS, this CCTV trick will be used by their West Hawaii staff for
inspection of existing sewer systems to obtain vital data, which includes locating
lateral locations, locating and determining the extent of existing defects in need of
repair, evaluating the condition of repaired areas, and collecting video for their
Asset Management data base - now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year
lease agreement for the equipment as indicated above, for the
Department of Environmental Management.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligat ons of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the
Finance Department and the Department of Environmental Management.
