,,COUNTY OF HAWAPI STATE OF HAWAI `I RESOLUTION NO. 54 21 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 20-40 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 (3) BY CHANGING THE TITLE ADMINSITRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CC LINTY AUDITOR AND THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR AND 7.01 (B) BY CHANGING THE NAME THE OFFICE OF THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR TO THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY AUDITOR AND ADMINSITRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR. WHEREAS, Section 3-13, f lawai' i County Charter, provides for interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and WHEREAS, Salary Ordinance No. 20-40 lists the classes of work and compensation for per cons employed by the County other than those whose pay is otherwise provided for; and WHEREAS, Section 3(B) and 7.01(B) of Salary Ordinance No. 20-40 sets the pay plan coy eying appointive executive/administrative positions and lists classes of work in Office of the Le,islative Auditor; and WHEREAS, the Office of tie Legislative Auditor has been renamed to the Office of the County Auditor as a result of the approval of November 3, 2020 County Charter amendment; and nox v, therefore. BE IT 12ESOLVED BY TIDE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Section 3(B) and 7.01. (B) of Salary Ordinance No. 20-40 be amended as follows: SECTION 3. Rate of Compensation. (A) There shall be a pay plan covering appointive executive/administrative positions. Employees occupying positions covered by this pay plan shall be paid at rates of compensatio i set forth by the pay grade assigned or salary fixed and estc.blished by section 7 of this ordinance or any amendatory resolution. (B) Th; salaries of the Executive Assistant to the Council. Chairperson, Deputy Exccutive Assistant to the Council Chairperson, Legal Specialist, Administrative Assistant to the [fie gismo e-} County Auditor, Special Assistant, Audit Analyst, Legislative Specialist, Council Aic e, and Council Legislative Assistant of the Legislative Branch shall be at the following rates: The Council Chairperson may appoint employees to any of the steps within the appropriate pay grade and may authorize and approve any step movements along the appropriate pay grade; provided that sufficient appropriations have been made by the Council.
