No. 107/Res.No. 40-21 PLACE: Council Chambers Hilo, Hawai`i TIME: 1:33 p.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 40-21, reports as follows: Resolution No. 40-21, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 107 dated January 28, 2021, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of six Intoxilyzer 8000 breath test instruments to the County of Hawaii Police Department. This resolution accepts the donation provided by the Maui Police Department valued at approximately $42,000. Traffic Safety Coordinator Torey Keltner of the Police Department came forward to address the members of Your Committee and expressed appreciation for this donation, He commented that the department currently uses the same Intoxilyzer 8000 machines, which are seven years old. The department is accepting these machines as back-ups.
