Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my honor and pleasure to nominate Luahiwa Namahoe of District 3 to our Fire Commission.
Ms. Namahoe is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. She is currently employed with HMSA as a Sales
Account Manager. She is an accomplished and committed businessperson with a track record for
protecting community. She recently served as Chair on the County of Hawaii Merit Appeals
Board 2016-2020 and served as a Commissioner on the County Fire Commission from 2009-
2013.
Ms. Namahoe is able to focus on the community's needs as a whole without catering to special
or self-interests, and she is respected by the community as being community-minded and
oriented. If confirmed, Ms. Namahoe will fill a term to end on December 31, 2022, replacing
Commissioner Yamada's resignation request.
