Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my honor and pleasure to nominate Clement Kanuha III of N. Kona to our Leeward
Planning Commission.
Mr. Kanuha has been a resident of Hawai'i for 37 years. He is currently a business owner and
active community service member. He has contributed numerous hours of service towards the
Betty Kanuha Foundation, Mauli Ola Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Surfers
Healing Foundation.
Mr. Kanuha is a graduate of West Hawaii Explorations Academy and a Professional Surf Athlete
who is eager to serve and give back to our community and `aina. Mr. Kanuha is respected by his
community as being community-minded and oriented. If confirmed, Mr. Kanuha will represent
N. Kona and serve a term to end December 31, 2025.
