Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Leomana Turalde of District 3 to our Game Management Advisory
Commission.
Mr. Turalde is a graduate of Waiakea High School 2005. He has been a resident of Hawai'i for
over 30 years. Mr. Turalde is a Professional Hula Dancer and has been the Alaka'i for the past 9
years with Halau Kawaili'ula. He resides in Hilo and currently manages his `Ghana nonprofit
organization, He Ola Hou in Keaukaha, focusing on Hawaiian Arts.
Mr. Turalde is a Scientist and Engineer. He is also a Veteran of the Marine Corps Force
Reconnaissance from 2005-2011. He was also a Junior Astrophysicist at Gemini Obervatory and
the Engineer and Safety Officer at NASA Space Grant Consortium UH 2019-2020.
If confirmed, Mr. Turalde will serve a full term ending December 31, 2025.
