Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety, to which was referred Resolution
No. 58-21 reports as follows:
Resolution No. 58-21, transmitted via Communication No. 133, by Ashley L. Kierkiewicz,
Council Member for District 4, dated February 11, 2021, urges the County of Hawai`i to
designate every March as Youth Art Month and to support activation of Art in the Park island-
wide to showcase youth artwork.
Council Member Ashley Kierkiewicz elaborated on the importance of art for our island keiki
through the COVID pandemic, and several council members commended her for her
collaboration on this project.
Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent
of Resolution No. 58-21, and recommends its adoption.
