RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR TWO (2) MULTIFUNCTION COPY MACHINES FOR THE DEPARTMENT
OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into multi-year leases for five (5) years, for two (2) multifunction copy machines for the Department of Environmental Management; and
WHEREAS, these copiers will be utilized by the Administration/Business Services Office and the Solid Waste Division Administrative Office; and
WHEREAS, the current copier lease for the Administration/Business Services Office is expired and the current copier lease for the Solid Waste Division Administrative Office will expire
in April 2021; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease agreements for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of Environmental Management.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Department of Environmental Management
and the Department of Finance.
