No. 52-21 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:35 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 52-21, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 52-21, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako via Communication No. 126 <br /> dated February 11, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds for a later fiscal year and of more than one <br /> fiscal year for multi-year lease for a multi-year lease of one Closed Circuit Television(CCTV)truck for <br /> the Department of Environmental Management. <br /> This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate <br /> monthly cost of$9,600. <br /> Council Member Heather Kimball asked for clarification as to whether this was to replace an existing <br /> vehicle that can no longer be leased or if this was a whole new piece of equipment. Department of <br /> Environmental Management Deputy Chief Engineer Eric Takamura replied by stating it is not a <br /> replacement, it's a second CCTV truck to be used in West Hawai`i to fill an increasing need for this type <br /> of vehicle.
