One truck is intended for the west side and one truck for the east side. Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked questioned the purchase given the state of the economy. Mr. Takamura answered by stating the purchase is essential. Mr. Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder expressed his concern with the amount of workers in one truck, asking if they've been vaccinated and could they be distanced in the truck. Mr. Takamura replied that one of the trucks is large enough and explained the size of the truck. Council Member Holeka Inaba posed a question regarding the cost of the vehicle. The purchase price is estimated at $255,000 for two vehicles. He asked if these are standard 4x4 pickup trucks.
