I am writing in support of funding the Puako wastewater system.
The community has been working on this for over a decade.

I fully support a community wide wastewater treatment facility to protect the Puako reef and its waters. The current situation with
legacy cesspools close to the water is unsafe and unsanitary. My family spends time in these waters and do not want to be exposed
to the human waste that is leaching into the waters. Further,the pollution is damaging to the reef and other wildlife.
A community sewer system would preserve the pristine reef and ocean environment.
