Aloha, I am a Kama'aina resident of Puako. I am concerned about the future of our reef. Over the years I have increasingly noticed
that when the tides are high,the ocean water comes up all around our house and cesspool. I know from the studies done in the last
few years that cesspool water is going into the ocean and affecting the ocean water quality. With more visitors and higher housing
density nowadays, it will seriously degrade the reef.
I ask that the council please consider funding to put in a sewer system for Puako.
