HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 074 Draft 01 2020-2022Jrty Of y' COUNTY OF HAWAI `I _ * STATE OF HAWAI `I ,r�OFNP RESOLUTION NO. 74 21 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOLUALOA FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CULTURE TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS DONKEY MILL ART CENTER EXHIBITION PROGRAM. WHEREAS, Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides art education and experiences to people of all ages and abilities at its Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa; and WHEREAS, the Donkey Mill Art Center is a community art center serving the West Hawaii community and local schools through hands-on classes, exhibitions, and events showcasing contemporary arts, crafts, and culture; and WHEREAS, Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture is requesting funds to pay for exhibit installation, printing, supplies, and other expenses related to the Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program; and WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support public and youth programs that promote educational activities in a drug- and alcohol -free environment, such as the Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture for expenses related to its Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $4,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $4,000 CREDITED TO: 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $4,000 Public Programs 115 Misc. Contract Services (Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture — Donkey Mill Art Center Exhibition Program) BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
