Roth, dated February 23, 2021, <br /> submits for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of Leomana Turalde to the <br /> Game Management Advisory Commission(GMAC). A motion to move Communication <br /> No. 166,to full Council with a positive recommendation was made by Council Member <br /> Susan Lee Loy; seconded by Council Member Heather Kimball. <br /> Introduced by Pomaika`i Bartolome, Executive Assistant to Mayor Mitch Roth, Leomana <br /> Turalde is a graduate of Waiakea High School, a Marine Corps Veteran, a scientist and engineer, <br /> former Junior Astrophysicist at Gemini Observatory,the 2019-2020 Engineer and Safety Officer <br /> at NASA Space Grant Consortium UH, an avid fisherman,hunter and a professional hula dancer. <br /> If confirmed, Mr. Turalde will serve a term ending December 31, 2025. <br /> Nominee Turalde thanked Your Committee, sharing the importance to serve his community and <br /> how the late Ellison Onizuka was his inspiration. Council Members echoed their support,noting <br /> his accolades a perfect fit to the GMAC.
