RESOLUTION NO.
STATE OF HAWAII
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF A WATER POLO LANE LINE COURSE TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION.
WHEREAS, the USA Women's Water Polo Team is donating a water polo lane line
course to the.County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the water polo lane line course, valued at $5,500, will be used at the
Kona Community Aquatic Center (KCAC) in Kailua-Kona; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to USA Water Polo, 6 Morgan, Suite 150, Irvine, CA 92618.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the
Office of the Mayor.
