My job is maintaining the collection system that goes to the sewer treatment facilities. I am doing
a testimony today to address different alternatives for wastewater. I don't think that privatization
of our wastewater system would be a good solution for our customers on the system. I know
that we need a lot of funding to get our system up to par and running efficiently and there are a
lot of upgrades that we need for our growing community. We do the best we can with what we I
have to keep our system running, I have been with wastewater for 7 years now. Since 1 was
here I've seen a lot of fixes just to keep our rundown plants going. 1 know we need an upgrade
and if upgraded 1 know we can be more efficient doing our jobs and it will save a toll on our
labor and effort to keep our system going.

I think it is unfair to the employees in the Wastewater Division to go to the private sector
because we have been doing our jobs with what we've got all this time. A sewer Treatment
Facility doesn't last forever. I feel confident that there will be solutions and funding to keep our
Division going like grants, and sewer fee adjustments, etc.
