Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 67-21, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 67-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 150
dated February 26, 2021, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease for two multifunction copy machines for the Department of
Environmental Management.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an appropriate
monthly cost of$170 per copier.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Pursuant to Hawaii County Charter Section 10-11, any contract lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 67-21, and
recommends its adoption.
