RE: Resolution No. 140-99, Draft 3
East Hawaii Cultural Council
This is to transmit Resolution No. 140-99, Draft 3 relating to the East Hawaii Cultural
Council lease, which was the result of amendments made at the Council's meeting of
October 14, 1999.
The major amendments include (1) removing reference to an attached lease; (2) requiring
the negotiated lease to be returned to the County Council within 30 days from the date of
the resolution's adoption; and (3) Council review of the lease agreement every four years.
Because the amendments to the title and body of the resolution were of a substantive
nature, it is my understanding that the resolution will be held over and placed on the
Council's meeting on October 27, 1999.
