Re: A Communication to Discuss Implementation of an Administrative Rule
prescribed by the Department of Environmental Management to Prohibit Trailers
at Public Waste Facilities
Please find attached Communication to request a 60 minute discussion regarding an
Administrative Rule prescribed by the Department of Environmental Management which
prohibits trailers and dump beds at all transfer stations except for the South Hilo Transfer Station
and West Hawaii Landfill.
Given the expected implementation of the aforementioned Administrative Rule on April 16th,
2021, I am requesting this be placed in the RAWEEM Committee for the meeting to be held on
April 20, 2021.
Mahalo for your consideration and continued commitment to strengthen Hawaii Island through
community-based decision making.
