SUBJECT: Presentation of Haweo Award Certificate to the Hawai`i Police Department
Awardee on the May 4, 2021 —Parks and Recreation& Public Safety Committee
We are requesting approximately 10 minutes for presentation of the May 2021 Haweo Award
Certificate to a deserving recipient employee of the Hawai`i Police Department.
The Haweo Award Program recognizes employees of our Police and Fire `ohana that perform
their duties "above and beyond the call". "Haweo"means to glow or to be radiant, and it is right
and just to recognize department employees who serve as shining examples of Hawai`i County's
finest public servants.
We request that this presentation take place on the Parks and Recreation and Public Safety
Committee on May 4, 2021, and that this committee be scheduled at 9:00 a.m. to better
accommodate the department's schedule.
