RESOLUTION NO. 103 21
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PU`U`EO COMMUNITY CENTER'S
TEEN SCENE SUMMER FUN PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division plans,
conducts, arranges or promotes organized recreation, athletics, crafts and other leisure time and
aquatic activities for all age groups at recreation centers and aquatic facilities throughout the
County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, is
coordinating the summer Teen Scene Program for students who have completed seventh, eighth,
ninth, or tenth grade, which is scheduled from June 7 to July 16, 2021, at Pu`u`eo Community
Center; and
WHEREAS, the Teen Scene Program is specially designed for teenagers to teach them
"life skills" such as cooking, arts and crafts, leadership activities, career exploration, sports,
excursions, and other fun activities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division is requesting
funds to replace equipment at Pu`u`eo Community Center for its 2021 Teen Scene Program
located in District 1; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the Pu`u`eo Community Center's Teen Scene summer fun program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
