Aloha Hawaii County Council,
This comes in response to Mayor Roth wanting to kick Mark Van Peniis off the Leeward Planning Commission. I
implore the council not to take this action. Mr.Van Pernis is an important asset to the commission with decades of
experience in real estate law. He asks the tough questions that need answers. If some people don't like his style this
is not a reason to get rid of him. I believe the bigger concern is Mayor Roth giving Zendo Kern a pass and an excuse
on his first 'rubber stamp' approval of an application of a former client's development application recently reported in
WI IT.
