I support Mark Van Pernis continuing on the board of the Leeward
Planning Commission.
I welcome some dissent on committees. I think it's important to
see all sides of an issue before making important, well-reasoned
decisions.
I' ve watched Mark Van Pernis testify for many years and he often
comes up with issues to a problem that no one else has thought to
consider.
I don' t want to take the chance of any boards or commissions
becoming rubber stamps.
