Re: Support of Communications 155 and 163
Aloha Madame Chair and members of the county council,
I am testifying in support of Communications 155 and 163.
I have worked with both nominees in various community efforts over the years to preserve, protect, and
perpetuate the cultural and environmental resources in our county.
My only concern is potential conflicts of interest because they are recognized experts and have been
employed by potential applicants to the county.
I would ask the nominees to provide assurance they will disclose any potential conflicts of interest in
order to allow the commissions to make appropriate determinations as to participation or recusal.
