COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />112 21 <br />RESOLUTION CREATING THIRTY (30) POLICE OFFICER I <br />(TEMP) POSITIONS FOR THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting to add thirty (30) <br />Police Office I (Temp) positions; and <br />WHEREAS, the creation of these positions are needed to <br />accommodate Police recruits during the training process; and <br />WHEREAS, upon graduating these recruits will be placed in permanent <br />full-time funded positions; and <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter <br />states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which <br />appropriations have been, made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />that thirty (30) Police Office I (Temp) positions be created in the Hawaii <br />County Police Department. <br />
