Dear Chairwoman David and Hawai`i County Council Members:
Pursuant to Haw. Rev. Stat. § 92-5(a)(4), we request an attorney-client
confidential discussion, in executive session, to consult with the County Council on
questions and issues pertaining to its powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and
liabilities regarding the above-referenced matter, including discussion of settlement
and the indemnification of Stanley Kaina.
We ask that this case be placed on the Council's May 19, 2021 agenda.
