A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ARTS AND SCIENCE
CENTER FOR A REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATED TO PROVIDING LIVE STREAMING OF VARIOUS SCHOOL EVENTS.
WHEREAS, Arts and Science Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports community development, greater access to education, and improving the quality of life through learning
with aloha; and
WHEREAS, current health and safety guidelines from Governor Ige’s most recent proclamation have limited community events and gatherings; and
WHEREAS, Arts and Science Center provided livestream coverage of athletic scrimmages, Senior Project Night, Commencement, and other school events to keep the community connected during
the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, Arts and Science Center is requesting funds for reimbursement of live streaming equipment and services for community events; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports drug-free and alcohol-free community events and programs that improve the well-being of our youth; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai‘i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying
the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant
to Arts and Science Center for a reimbursement of expenses related to live streaming equipment and services for community events.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
