I am Sandra Lehua Kamaka, born in 1968 to Nomi Ka'aha'olelo Unea-Bray Kamaka and Rodney Kaukuna Kamaka,
and born to the lands of Holualoloa.
I am a child of these lands of Holualoa, I am Kanaka Hawai'i, I am Ko Hawaii Pae 'Aina.
I.stand and am in favor to support the County to purchase 4 properties in Kona for PONC OPEN SPACE.
I Support RES 80-21 KEAKEALANI WAHINE OF HOLUALOA (BANYANS)
I Support RES 81-21 MAGIC SANDS OF LA'ALOA
.I Support RES 82-21 PAHOEHOE OF LA'ALOA
I Support RES 83-21 KE ALA KAKOU (HOLUALOA COMMUNITY FOREST)
Born, raised, groomed, and grown in the ahupuaaa of Holualoa.
Likewise, raised with Kaumalumalu, Pahoehoe, and La'aloa. These ahupuaa are my DNA. I, and my Kamaka family,
are lineal descendants of Keakealaniwahine. We are of the Kauhaihao family, and Kama family. We have our names
are on these lands of Holualoa in the Mahele.
We need these lands to be protected. There is too much going on on Ali'i drive, too much.
A name given to the beachroad of Kailua Kona, " Ali'i " drive. It's name says it all. We have gone too far, damaged
too much, changed currents of Holualoa Bay, changed lives.
Please, our chiefs, Ali'i cared for the people, cared.for the lands, so we should continue this practice.
Tsunami is destructive, and there is too much people, too much houses, too much condos, too much apartments,
saving as much open spaces as possible from development.
Let's do things right, start saving people from possible destruction.
That is why it is so important to support KE ALA KAKOU. What is above will come down also. Be in mind that
when Kona rains, Kona rains hard and waterways overflows. Supporting our forests, our Holualoa mauka community
is polio.
As we know, if tsunami warning is called, we go up mauka. Think about it!!!
