Aloha `Aina Banyans/Pahoehoe/Magic Sands
Aloha `Aina is most important to me because I value the unique beauty ma Moku '0 Keawe,
Hawaii Island. These three areas are important because many kanaka from those areas malama
the `Aina. If there are houses/buildings built there the people won't be able to malama the areas
they have kept and maintained for most of their life. The land could be used to grow kalo patches
for the keiki '0 ka `Aina to learn their culture instead of building houses. The land could also be
used to build a community center for the people of those areas to have a shady area to be in. It
could also be used to builda recreational park so the keiki '0 ka `Aina can have an area to play,
so they can also enjoy their childhood. Bathrooms would also go to great use in those areas
because then people won't have to go an extra mile to find the nearest bathroom.Aloha `Aina is
very important to me because ka `aina is one of the very few things we still have from our
kupuna/ancestors. Building more houses/buildings is taking that from us because then we won't
have anything to malama, malama the `aina is very important to the Hawai'i kanaka.
