\��Jy <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII •' STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 21 <br />DRAFT <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO THE OFFICE OF THE <br />MAYOR FOR THE HAWAII ISLAND CHEF CHALLENGE SHOW. <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Mayor is putting on the first ever Hawaii Island Chef <br />Challenge show in the coming months, which will include partnering local chefs with keiki <br />between the ages of 12 and 17; and <br />WHEREAS, starting in May, video segments for the show will be filmed at various <br />locations around the island with the final segment shown in August featuring the finalists and <br />Chef Sam Choy as celebrity judge; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Chef Challenge will also share stories from our local <br />farmers, ranchers, and chefs to learn about the challenges and rewards of our agriculture, culture, <br />and culinary arts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Mayor is requesting funds to assist with expenses <br />associated with coordinating and filming of the Hawaii Island Chef Challenge show; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the Mayor <br />to provide funds for the Hawaii Island Chef Challenge show. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
