This donation from the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO)will be used by the Departments of Public Works,Building Division, Plumbing section. REQUEST: To accept and acknowledge a donation of seven Uniform Plumbing Code 2018 Code Books and seven 2018 Illustrated Training Manuals from the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO). B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The State Building Code Council adopted the 2018 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) in May of 2020. The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) publishes the UPC and the published date of the 2018 edition was January 2018. Per HRS 107-28 the County will be required to adopt this code in January of 2022. IAPMO has generously donated to the Department of Public Works, Building Division, Plumbing section with the code books and training manuals to support the education needed to enforce the forthcoming plumbing code.
