JSY OF h,�1 COUNTY OF HAWAII *��* STATE OF HAWAII '1TE oF.H.l RESOLUTION NO. 1-29.9-1 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO FULL LIFE TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS ADULT DAY PROGRAMS IN KONA. WHEREAS, Full Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists individuals with developmental disabilities to lead full, happy and self -determined lives by assisting them to achieve maximum independence within their homes, community and workplace; and WHEREAS, Full Life's Adult Day Program assists people in the Kona area with developmental disabilities by teaching them skills through art and gardening to achieve goals that increase community inclusion, build communication skills, learn job skills, and attain a greater self-determination; and WHEREAS, Full Life is requesting funds to pay for art supplies and gardening materials for its Adult Day Program; and WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support public and youth programs that promote educational activities in a drug- and alcohol -free environment, such as Full Life's Adult Day program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Full Life for expenses related to its Adult Day Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
