STATE OF HAWAII 132 2l A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MATERIALS FOR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE OF THE MAKA`EO WALKING PATH AT THE OLD KONA AIRPORT PARK. WHEREAS, the Maka`eo Walking Path is a shared -use pathway approximately one mile long that is located at the County's Old Kona Airport Park; and WHEREAS, the Maka`eo Walking Path consists of two paved -asphalt loops, an exercise pavilion, colorful gardens, an anchialine pond, and a north- and south -end lawn that are hosts to weekly physical activities, lessons, and events for the community; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is working in partnership with Friends for Fitness, a nonprofit organization that assists the County with maintaining the Maka`eo Walking Path; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase materials to be utilized by Friends for Fitness for repairs and maintenance of the Maka`eo Walking Path; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase materials for repairs and maintenance of the Maka`eo Walking Path at the Old Kona Airport Park. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: I General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $1,000 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.39 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,000 Friends of the Park 341 Misc. Charges (Maka`eo Walking Path)
